Technical Information
To ensure autorun and distribution:
Modifies the following registry keys:
- [<HKLM>\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run] 'Eset32' = 'c:\<Virus name>.exe'
Creates the following files on removable media:
- <Drive name for removable media>:\autorun.inf
- <Drive name for removable media>:\<Virus name>.exe
Malicious functions:
Executes the following:
- <SYSTEM32>\find.exe "69.63" data
- <SYSTEM32>\netstat.exe -na
- <SYSTEM32>\cmd.exe /c c:\\MSOCache\\diefb.cmd
Modifies file system :
Creates the following files:
- C:\autorun.inf
- <Current directory>\data
- C:\MSOcache\Diefb.cmd
- C:\<Virus name>.exe
Sets the 'hidden' attribute to the following files:
- <Drive name for removable media>:\<Virus name>.exe
- <Drive name for removable media>:\autorun.inf
- C:\autorun.inf
- C:\MSOcache\Diefb.cmd
- C:\<Virus name>.exe
